Review-I think every horror fan by now has seen or heard of Lucio Fulci’s 1979 classic, Zombie. In the last decade, there has been so many releases for this film that I lost count. I will say now, this blu is the definitive version. There does not have to be another release after this. The picture quality is in true 4k. The sound is crisp and the film has definitely stood the test of time. The new special features are what I am here to talk about. Since we are close to some sort of holiday that people celebrate one way or another, I thought that we should see if this is worth another dip in the wallet. First off, the film is a classic masterpiece. It is fun cheese with a slice of flair. The commentary track with Troy Howarth was very well done. He is both engaging and knowledgeable. You can truly feel he is having a blast doing it. The interviews on here feel a little bit grabbing. It feels that they wanted to pack this collection and was clutching at straws at times. I felt that maybe the cover and the new commentary was well worth the dip. I think there is just too much on here that sort of feels like they were filling time more than putting care into it. I am not griping about this blu ray not being the absolute best, my gripe is that they had other avenues of special features and some of these just felt like they should have been left on the street.

The film and the new art work are 10 out of 10
The special features…7 out of 10
