AC/DC Drummer Phil Rudd Procuring Murder Charges Dropped, Band Issues Statement

AC/DC Drummer Phil Rudd

After yesterday’s announcement that AC/DC’s drummer Phil Rudd had been charged with attempting to procure murder of two men in New Zealand as well as with threatening to kill and possession of methamphetamine and cannabis, the charge of attempting to procure murder has been withdrawn. AC/DC has also released a brief statement addressing this situation.

The band posted on their official Facebook page: “We’ve only become aware of Phil’s arrest as the news was breaking. We have no further comment. Phil’s absence will not affect the release of our new album Rock Or Bust and upcoming tour next year.”
