Sanctuary Release Video For Frozen

Sanctuary: The Year the Sun Died

Purchase Sanctuary: The Year the Sun Died

Seattle metal outfit Sanctuary have released a video for the track Frozen off of their upcoming release “The Year the Sun Died,” which will be released in North America on October 14, 2014, October 6, 2014, in Europe and October 3, 2014, in Germany, Austria and Switzerland through Century Media Records. The video was filmed in Germany with director Dirk Behlau.

“The Year the Sun Died” is one of my most anticipated album in a while. Since Nevermore has lost two of its key members and no one has given the concrete status of the band, this looks to be the only chance to get something new from vocalist Warrel Dane for a while.

Guitarist Lenny Rutledge comments: “This video shoot was a blast. The location was an abandoned coal mine processing plant near Essen, Germany. You can see many bizarre birdcage size baskets hanging from the ceiling. There were thousands of them. We were told that they were some type of ‘laundry management devices’. They appear as something much more creepy and ominous in my opinion. Almost as if they were some sort of medieval torture devices. The entire building seemed to have a very haunting vibe.”

Listen to the previous released tracks, Exitium (Anthem of the Living) and Arise and Purify.
