Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn has been sharing his stories about the band’s album “Through the Ashes of Empires,” which is having its 10th anniversary. Besides his ramblings, he has also shared previously unreleased demos of tracks from the album. He has already posted rare demos of three songs from the album, but now Flynn has also shared a previously unreleased track that never made it to the album. It is called Pins and Needles and you can check it out below.
Pins and Needles was written while unsigned and shopping for a label in 2002, and was eventually deleted from the album as the band hated it. The music was eventually used as part of the 2005 “Roadrunner United” sessions.
You know that I have a man crush on Robb Flynn and am all for anything Machine Head does. “Through the Ashes of Empires” was an amazing album and Imperium still remains one of their best songs to date.
