Paradise Lost Premiere Re-Recorded Song

Paradise LostGothic metal veterans Paradise Lost are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year, and to mark this occasion, the band will release a compilation of B-sides, covers, and other rarities next month. Today the band has premiered their new version of Gothic entitled Gothic 2013.

The compilation “Tragic Illusion 25 (The Rarities),” available on October 21, 2013 in Europe (digitally on October 29, 2013 in North America), also features 3 previously unreleased recordings, including the brand new song Loneliness Remains and re-recorded versions of two of their early classics Gothic and Our Saviour (taken from 1991’s “Gothic” and their debut “Lost Paradise” respectively). These three tracks will also appear on a white 10″ vinyl, which is exclusive to Century Media’s European distro and limited to 100 copies.

Vocalist Nick Holmes comments: “When the opportunity came up for us to re-record ‘Gothic’, we were really pleased because it meant that we could finally do the song justice (production wise) and Simon Efemey had the chance to give it his polish. ‘Gothic’ has often been considered a bench mark in our early career and it was good to revisit it.”
