13 Greatest Quotes From Friday the 13th (1980)

Friday the 13th (1980)

Sure, anyone could give their favorite kills from the Friday the 13th franchise. Heck, I probably have already done that somewhere on this blog. For this Friday the 13th, I wanted to be a little different and pick 13 of the greatest quotes from the Friday the 13th franchise.

Over the years, we have had so many great quotes from the Friday the 13th franchise. Even the remake had one of my favorite quotes of any horror movie: “You got perfect nipple placement, baby.”

I started this post out by trying to narrow down my top 13 quotes from the entire franchise, but there are so many good ones from the original, that I kept my quote selection from Friday the 13th (1980).

13. Dumb kids. Know-it-alls. Just like my niece, heads fulla rocks.

Enos the truck driver trys to warn Annie of the troubles at Camp Crystal Lake, but she wanted none of it. Enos just shook his head and uttered this one.

Annie Friday the 13th12. You’re an American Original.

This was actually Annie’s reply to Enos, which may have made sense at the time, but is so silly that I always make a strange face when I hear it.

11. I’m Mrs. Voorhees, an old friend of the Christys’.

Pamela’s introduction to the audience was this innocent little line that had us thinking that all would be well, but it only went downhill after this moment.

10. Ma’am, we didn’t find any boy.

At the end of the film, Alice asks about the boy in the lake when Tierney replies with that classic line. Not exactly a witty comment, but one that we all remember from the original.

9. We ain’t gonna stand for any weirdness out here!

Officer Dorf almost served as comic relief during this part when the counselors were just making fools of themselves.

Crazy Ralph8. Going to Camp Blood, ain’t ya?

Crazy Ralph told it like it was. He warned the kids. Why didn’t they just listen?

7. You let him drown! You never paid any attention. Look what you did to him.

Pamela was just a little upset during this part of the film. The tone is her voice was something else.

6. They were making love while that young boy drowned.

Pamela Voorhees (Jason’s mother) was the original killer that started it all. In practically every horror trivia quiz out there, they try and trick us with the lame question of who the killer was in the original Friday the 13th.

5. I’m a messenger of God. You’re doomed if you stay here!

Here is Crazy Ralph again with another mention of the doom that the kids are in for.

Pamela Voorhees4. You see, Jason was my son, and today is his birthday.

Pamela Voorhees is back with another great quote. When Pamela speaks this line, it is not only the words, but the way she says it. Her face is the epitome of a psycho as she reveals that she is the killer.

3. Kill her, Mommy! Kill her! Don’t let her get away, Mommy! Don’t let her live!

Pamela changed voices to speak as Jason and herself in the same scene. To this day, it is still absolutely frightening.

2. You’re doomed! You’re all doomed!

Crazy Ralph never gets old. Actually, he is already old in the original film, but he was the first crazy old man in a slasher film, which became the norm in a lot of films from this era. This is another line that I use all of the time. If my kids every get out of hand, I pull this one out. They have no idea what I am talking about, but it makes me feel better.

1. It’s got a death curse!

Crazy Ralph takes the top two spots with my favorite line of the Friday the 13th franchise. I love this line so much that I bought the domain name deathcurse.com over 10 years ago. I really do not do anything with it, but I refuse to let it go.
