Brian De Palma, better known for a movie that you may have heard of before – Scarface, directed Carrie in 1976 based off of Stephen King’s novel. Carrie stars Sissy Spacek in her first major movie role, and also features actors such as John Travolta, William Katt and genre favorites Piper Laurie, Betty Buckley and P.J. Soles. With the upcoming remake coming out soon, this seems like a nice pick for this week.
