Julianne Moore’s Shelter Finally Getting Released in the U.S. and Gets a Title Change

Julianne Moore's 6 Souls

MÃ¥ns MÃ¥rlind and Björn Stein’s Shelter finally has a release date in the U.S. as well as a new title – 6 Souls. This film went into distribution hell since its 2010 release. Hell, we even reviewed it on the FearShop.com Horror Podcast two or three years ago. The Weinstein Company, or more specifically, its Radius TWC label, will be releasing it under the new title 6 Souls. It will hit VOD March 1, 2013 before getting a limited theatrical release April 5, 2013.

Directed by MÃ¥ns MÃ¥rlind and Björn Stein (who went on to direct UNDERWORLD: AWAKENING), 6 SOULS goes like this: After the death of her husband, Dr. Cara Harding’s (Julianne Moore) faith in God has been shaken, but not her belief in science. In an attempt to open her up to accepting unexplainable psychiatric theories, her father introduces her to Adam, a patient with multiple personalities who takes on some of the physical characteristics of his other personalities. But, Cara quickly discovers that Adam’s other personalities are murder victims and the more she finds out about him and his past, the closer she and her loved ones are to becoming victims themselves.
