Review-Japan’s Fastkill knows how to have fun when it comes to creating titles for their cds. From their debut Infernal Thrashing Holocaust to the new cd one thing is for they are defining a style that is both very energetic and very destructive. If you are a fan of the late 80’s thrash metal scene and bands like Kreator, Slayer and Death in their early stages you will definitely get into what this band is offering. This band has the old school speed and intensity, along with the high pitched shrieking vocals that are so welcome today’s thrash fans. The drummer trying to keep up with the guitar attack is just pure insanity. Now for new fans of Fastkill, the vocals may take some getting used to, but if you are familiar with the sound of Toshio you will appreciate it. This is a band that is clearly passionate about what it is doing, and it showed throughout each track.
There are times on this cd that Toshio tries to outdo Tom Ayara and the Angel of Death shriek and if you are a fan of thrash metal or not, you cannot sit there and listen to this man just kill and not want to really get behind this band. This is that cd that will make non-believers of this band, die-hard fans, that will make you want to seek out their other 2 records and see what you been missing out on. This cd sounded like the proper follow up to Reign in Blood by Slayer.

Fastkill fans I am here to tell you if you own Nuclear Thrashing Attack and are expecting this cd to show you growth or difference, you are going to be letdown. This cd is more of the same that they have offered since day one, but the truth is, they really do not need to change a damn thing. This band to me has found a sound that fits them, and works for them. This is a band that respects the scene, and unlike Municipal Waste does not come across as poseurs. Fastkill to me, three records in are really becoming more and more of a force to deal with and this record to me is more of the same you expect from them. Another kick ass heavy as hell kill ride.
