R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio: Has it Really Been 2 Years?

Ronnie James Dio

Honestly, I cannot believe that yesterday marked 2 years since the passing of one of the greatest metal frontmen in history. Ronnie James Dio was simply an iconic figure and an amazing person in general. He has influenced scores of people in the metal world and he is sorely missed by all of his fans and brethren.

While this little trip down memory lane is by no means a close representation of his full body of work, I have posted some videos of Ronnie simply being amazing. Check out the videos below and just remember how much we will always miss Ronnie James Dio.

The Last in Line
Live at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City, NY – December 13, 2002. The Last in Line is one of the most metal tunes to ever be released. Yes, I said it.

Children of the Sea
This Black Sabbath classic just never gets old. Songs like this remind me of how much better Sabbath was with Dio on vocals.

Stargazer
Dio performing the Rainbow classic Stargazer at Polyvalent Hall, Bucharest, September 21, 1998. Rainbow was an amazing band when Dio was a part of it and this is one of the best songs that Ritchie Blackmore ever put his hands on.

Like the Beat of a Heart
Such an underrated song from Sacred Heart. This recording was from Japan in 1985. This was a huge video that we traded during the VHS trading days. Such a great concert all around.

Heaven and Hell
Black Sabbath live from New York City, NY in 1980. They are not too many songs more evil than this classic.
