What a cool honor to be asked to look at the new season of CHAINSAW SALLY SHOW in advanced. What reviewer wouldn’t be a little stoked? I was awed and well a little confused, why? Well, because, I have never seen the first season of CHAINSAW SALLY SHOW. WHAT??? That’s right! This is totally VIRGIN territory for me.
So the other night, I got all comfy cozy in the big recliner and kicked off my shoes and pressed play. For those of you like myself, who have obviously lived under a rock and missed the first season, do not fret…the characters are likeable and easy to follow. The show opens with Sally in her shed torturing a man tied to a chair. His incessant screaming quickly got on my nerves. This was something that didn’t escape Sally’s scream assaulted ears either, for she screamed at him to shut up. This little te’te went on for a brief moment and then Sally whipped out the chainsaw and let the blade do a little screaming of its own. Nice bloody opening scene.
As the story soldiers on, returning characters such as RUBY, Sally’s brother is shown in a unique place and ordered to clean his room and OH MY GOD…the HORRORS…he was told to take a BATH with SOAP! Ha-ha funny scene with an even more memorable quote regarding the lower regions of their deceased grandmother.
Also returning in this second season of blood and body parts is that lovable Nicolette leFaye better known as BUSY BEE. She comes across a little despondent and sad…but there is a scene that is sure to put a smile on her face and laughter in the viewer, when they see it. It is one of my favorite scenes of episode 1.
So what is Season 2 about…appears there is a new killer, Angel Eyes, who is on the loose in Porterville and he is looking to score a little fame and “Action figures”?! Yep, he wants to be a famous serial killer and get his own action figure plus he wants to be known and he is prepared to cut a path across Porterville that leads to serial killer fame.
The show is full of funny dialogue and Sally makes it hard not to like her show. The storyline flows well and if you weren’t a fan before you saw this episode…you may very well be on your way to being one, because episode one leaves you hanging…and with the promise of more on the horizon…I bet you will be tuning in each week at http://www.chainsawsallyshow.com/ to see what happens next.

Another reason I was happy to review THE CHAINSAW SALLY SHOW, my good friend, the musician NURSE HATCHET aka MISTRESS MARY DESADE. She and husband PATRICK D-DAY are behind the music for TCS. So how can she have two names? Well, to clarify, when you see her listed as Naughty Nurse Hatchet, she has had her hands involved with some gory Special FX for Forbidden Pictures for the TCS and the other name Mistress Mary DeSade for her music/band persona. I will be interviewing with the Naughty Nurse soon.
When working in the film industry there are always so many people that work on a project and during award shows, you know someone will inadvertently not get the appreciation and thanks they deserve for their work. There are more people involved in the special effects department and I want to be fair and say thank you to Naughty Nurse Hatchet’s on set FX Partners Victor Accord & Rio LiCour as they did the bulk of gore FX. Thanks you guys for a job well done.
Stay tuned for dates of the interview. For more information on Naughty Nurse Hatchet/Mistress Mary DeSade and her Music/Special FX, look for her https://www.facebook.com/#!/TheMixtressDemonatrix and tell her Char Hardin referred you.
