Review-The critic part of the review is easy. It is easy to sit here and criticize. It is the director and actors that have the hardest job, whether the budget is 5 dollars or 5 million, they are there putting their vision out bravely out for me and you to judge. This film is so confusing for me. A film like this you really need to create sympathy for characters, and Isabelle was so dull and boring, you almost wished she did not have to carry the film. And James and this love obsession was even more confusing. First off, the guy looks like if Stiffler from American Pie and Edward from Twilight had a love child. He was even more boring than Isabelle. Ok, she breaks up with him in one scene and he pushes her and grabs her violently almost. And does not want to break up. Ok, so then he gets bored of her ( thank god I was not alone) and she becomes almost suicidal over the news trying to carve her arm with a razor, which should have been a pivotal scene, that really got the story across and it felt so phony and pathetic. I heard all this hype about Karen Lam, I am sort of letdown by this introduction. I mean the film starts off with Isobelle on a blind date, and the conversation revolves around her dead mom, and a 5 minute talk about tarts. And what about this he is trying to impress the girl she brings him some tarts and he says..” Oh I hate those things”. And, then the dumb ass eats one. Why do you think she did this blind date, she thought he had a girlfriend and it would be safe. So, she will take a total stranger to her house and go to kiss him and she is hoping he has a girlfriend, why? So she can watch…or try to slit her wrists as well? Jennifer tells her, she thinks James grabbed a girl’s ass…and that she should break up with him.

This film has a scene where she fires someone who busted their ass for her at the bookstore, and took it so personal. And like two minutes she gets a call with a threat that she will die a lonely old cat lady, and acts like she is so surprised and never calls the cops. God, i am Isabelle and I wonder who could have said that to me..duh..probably her agent when she accepted this role. And I was so stoked about watching this facebook hype star Karen Lam and see what she is about….oh well maybe next time…
