Metal Review – Mordbrand – Necropsychotic (2011)

Mordbrand - NecropsychoticYou can tell that Mordbrand takes a lot of influence from their homeland’s bands including Entombed, Grave and Dismember, but that is not to say that Mordbrand does not have their own style as well. There is something about Sweden that keeps producing fine metal acts and Mordbrand is no different. Their latest EP, Necropsychotic, plays like a homage to their influences. Of course, that means that it is also a very nice listen.

Being an EP, we know that it will be short, but we are given 6 tracks ranging between 4 and 5 minutes each and each of the individual tracks are solid in their own way. This is one that you should keep on your radar. They do not do it as good as their influences, but they are no slouches in the death metal genre either.
