Supergroup All Pigs Must Die features the talents of former Bloodhorse members on guitar and bass, the drummer from Converge and vocalist Kevin Baker, formerly of Hope Conspiracy. They are firmly grounded in old school hardcore and God is War add a little something to that hardcore legend that they are already bringing to the table. With some intricate guitar lines and plain old pissed off vocals, All Pigs Must Die is out to prove something to someone and I am glad that we are the recipients of their message.
Songs like Death Dealer and Sacrosanct (among others) bring a little black metal influence to the normal hardcore sound that we have come to expect from All Pigs Must Die and that makes me appreciate the album a lot more than I would otherwise.
The album is just a pissed off dream come true. You can really let your aggression out while listening to God is War. The album makes you want to mosh it up and just tears down the walls. A lot of what makes God is War succeed is the raspy vocals of Kevin Baker, but that is not where the band ends. Every member of the band is worth their weight in gold.
This is a high recommendation to all fans of hardcore and metal as I think that you will really enjoy this one.
