Tucker & Dale vs. Evil Nabs Distribution

Tucker & Dale vs. EvilAbout time I say. The highly acclaimed Tucker & Dale vs. Evil has been getting rave reviews for a while now, but the movie continued to languish without distribution… until now that is. Magnet Releasing, the genre arm of Magnolia Pictures, who has been responsible for a banner year so far with Black Death, I Saw the Devil And The Troll Hunter has picked up Tucker & Dale vs. Evil for VOD and theatrical distro. Magnet will release the film in it’s trendsetting VOD-then-theater platform, seeing the movie hit on-demand August 26 and limited theatrical engagements September 30.

The film sees “Tucker and Dale, two best friends on vacation at their dilapidated Appalachian mountain cabin, who are mistaken for murderous backwoods hillbillies by a group of obnoxious, preppy college kids. When one of the students gets separated from her friends, the boys try to lend a hand, but as the misunderstanding grows, so does the body count.” Tucker & Dale vs. Evil was directed by newcomer Eli Craig and stars Tyler Labine, Alan Tudyk (FIREFLY, DODGEBALL) and 30 ROCK and PIRANHA 3DD actress Katrina Bowden.
