Behemoth Set to Reissue Vintage EPs in Box Set

BehemothApproaching their 20th anniversary, Poland’s blackened death metal legends Behemoth are releasing some long out-of-print early material in a 2-CD set entitled Abyssus Abyssum Invocat. The EPs Conjuration and Slaves Shall Serve have been fully remastered and beefed up with several bonus tracks, all-new artwork, rare live photos and new liner notes. We’ve got details below the fold, including some info from frontman Nergal, who recently triumphed in his difficult battle with leukemia. Hit the jump for more!

“There’s been a demand for our long-time sold out EPs,” Nergal (aka Adam Darski) confirmed. “Conjuration and Slaves Shall Serve represent [a] more experimental side of Behemoth’s nature. Apart from live versions and studio songs from [the] Demigod and Zos Kia Cultus era, you can find us challenging ourselves with covers of such acts like Nine inch Nails, Nefilim or Danzig among others. Abyssum is a compilation of these materials.”
